Steele’s Transportation Group (Steele’s) specializes in providing scheduled LTL Freight in Alberta and local pick up and delivery from our terminal hubs located in Calgary and Edmonton. Steele’s has a strong reputation for our service which we have been building since 1957 when the company was founded by Eric and Kathleen Steele. Dennis Steele, who joined the family business in 1987 leads and operates Steele’s as a business partnership under FMi Logistics Group Inc. 

Steele’s is an asset-based business which utilizes a fleet of dedicated equipment which are company owned assets and owner-operator owned equipment working as sub-contractors along with carrier partners to provide safe, timely and competitive freight delivery services throughout Alberta. Our main area of service occurs in the busy corridor between Calgary – Red Deer – Edmonton and we do have staff and / or drivers based in each one of these major cities.



Job Title: Customer Services Administrator
(This is an ongoing recruiting)

Job Summary:

CSA’s support our customers by identifying what and when they need their assets shipped and then recommending the service we can offer, providing quotes for service and getting orders booked for dispatch thru to billing for our service. CSA’s may be assigned specific customer accounts which are typically our higher profile customers with larger volumes of transactions or specific requirements. Also, to provide updates and communicate information during transit and post delivery. As well as to create invoices capturing all revenue and to calculate driver bills. 

Job Responsibilities:

1. Emails, Calls; Portal

• Booking orders and creating quotes as per customer request.
• Supporting customers, giving quotes, booking orders, and providing eta.
• Accepting new orders/tenders. Spot quotes.
• Making sure emails and portal messages are replied to within 30 minutes.


2. Billing for service, SOP’s updating. Driver bills

• Billing customers for our service per their agreed rates and calculating driver bills.
• Monitoring the Admin shared inbox 
• Create and update customer SOP’s.
• Document management and filing. 
• Accepting and contributing to other tasks as related to position and skill.

3. Qualifications/Skills

• Detail oriented.
• Can work under pressure and multi-tasking.
• Team player.
• Flexible and open to contributing as required.
• Ability to problem-solve.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Computer literacy skills.
• Typing minimum of 40/WPM

4. Education and Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of CSR experience
• Experience in freight management can be an asset.
• Knowledge of commercial vehicles and trailers
• Minimum of 1-2 years Office & billing experience.
